2022 Conference USA All-Freshman Team
2023 (r-So.) | 12/6: Key played in all 12 of WKU's regular-season games during the 2023 season, starting half of those at linebacker. He posted 29 total tackles, with 1.5 for loss. Key picked off one pass on the season – in the season-opening victory over South Florida on Sept. 2. Key posted highs of five tackles twice – against South Florida and in the 21-13 victory at UTEP on Nov. 4.
2022 (r-Fr.) | 13/1: Key played in 13 of WKU's 14 games on the season, helping the Hilltoppers to a 9-5 record an New Orleans Bowl Championship. Key made 11 tackles on the year with 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. His season highlight came in WKU's 73-0 blowout win over FIU when he returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown. Key also recovered a fumble in the team's season-opening win over Austin Peay. After the conclusion of the regular season, Key was named to Conference USA's All-Freshman Team.
2021 (Fr.): Key did not see action in 2021 and will use the season as a redshirt year.
2020 (Fr.): Key was a member of WKU's practice squad and did not appear in a game in his first season on The Hill. He will retain his freshman year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HS/Misc.: Key racked up 53 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks during his final two seasons at Tucker HS. Rated as a three-star recruit by ESPN and 247Sports, with an 82 composite score from 247Sports. Chose WKU over others such as Cincinnati, Marshall, Rutgers, Georgia Tech and North Carolina.
