Before WKU: Zaubi came from Reedley College, where he helped lead the Tigers to Northern California Football Association American Division Championship in 2019. He played in all 11 games, completing 73-of-122 passes (59.8%) for 1,162 yards, with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. In the title game against Foothill College, he was 16-of-27 (59.3%) for 258 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, as Reedley claimed the 23-14 win. His best performance of the year came in a 61-13 win at San Jose City College, where he was 18-of-21 (85.7%) for 277 yards, with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. The Tigers' 2020 campaign was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2018, Zaubi was at the University of Louisville but did not compete.
