2021 (g-Sr.) | 14/14: Wilson started all 14 games for the Hilltoppers at right guard, helping WKU post the top pass blocking rating in the nation (90.9) according to PFF College’s Premium Stats. Individually, Wilson ranked first among C-USA guards and third among all C-USA offensive linemen with an 87.1 pass blocking grade from PFF. Wilson also ranked fifth among C-USA guards who played at least 100 snaps with a 72.9 offensive grade from PFF and 10th among C-USA guards who played at least 100 snaps with a 67.6 run blocking grade from PFF.
Before WKU: Wilson started 23 games from 2018-to-2020 and appeared in 39 total contests in four years suiting up for the Cornhuskers. After redshirting the 2016 season, appeared in all 12 games in 2017, seeing action on the offensive line, on special teams and even as a fullback in goal line formations. Once again played in all 12 games in 2018, starting the final nine contests at right guard while being named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention. In his nine starts at right guard, Nebraska averaged 490.3 yards of total offense per game, helping the Huskers rank 25th nationally in total offense in 2018. The Cornhuskers posted their most yards (659 vs. Minnesota) and highest point total (54 vs. Illinois) in a Big Ten game since the program joined the league in 2011. Started all 12 games at right guard again in 2019 and helped Nebraska rank third in the Big Ten in rushing offense and fifth in total offense. For the second straight season, the Cornhuskers produced their most yards (690 at Illinois) while tying their most points (54 at Maryland) in a league contest. In 2020, started the first two games of the year to reach 23 consecutive starts. Overall, played in four of the team's eight games, helping Nebraska rank second in the Big Ten in rushing offense. Earned All-Big Ten Academic honors in each of the past four years and was a six-time Cornhusker Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll member. Earned his bachelor's degree in Criminology in the fall.
HS/Misc.: Wilson played for head coach Royce Boehm at Lee's Summit West HS. Was named to the USA Today Missouri All-State Team as a senior, earned First Team All-Conference honors as a junior and was a Second Team All-State selection as a sophomore. The team went 13-1 and won the Class 5 state title in 2013, then made playoff appearances in 2014 and 2015. Participated in the Under Armour All-American game in January 2016. Ranked among the top 10 offensive guards in the country by both Scout and ESPN, while also being listed as a top 10 prospect in the state of by both ESPN and 247Sports. Also competed for the track and field team, where he threw shot put and discus.
