2014-15 (Junior) - (CC): Hurd raced in all six meets for the Hilltoppers in 2014, with his season-best 8K coming in 25:51.09 at the Greater Louisville Classic…He finished 38th at the C-USA Outdoor Championships with a time of 25:51.47. (Indoor): Hurd raced in three meets during the indoor campaign, competing in a pair of 5,000-meter races, a 3,000-meter run and the distance medley relay…He ran a leg on WKU's seventh-place distance medley relay at the C-USA Indoor Championships, where he also finished 21st in the 5,000-meter run. (Outdoor): Hurd competed in six meets during the outdoor season, which was highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meter run (15:28.70) at the Hilltopper Relays…He ran a leg of WKU's victorious 4x400-meter relay at the Austin Peay Invitational the next week…He raced in all three individual distance events at the C-USA Outdoor Championships, where he finished 10th in the 10K in 33:57.54.
2013-14 (Junior) - (CC): Hurd missed the 2013 cross country season due to injury. (Indoor): Hurd returned from injury to compete in six meets during the 2014 indoor season, which was highlighted by a his first-career win at the UAB Blazer Invitational. Hurd captured top honors in the 5,000-meter run in Birmingham with a time of 15:51.31...He ran the 3,000 and 5,000 for WKU throughout the indoor season, placing 13th and 18th in the events, respectively, at the 2014 SBC Indoor Track and Field Championships. (Outdoor): Hurd raced in six meets during the outdoor season, running the 1,500, 3K, 5K and 10K for WKU...He placed 12th in the 10,000 at the SBC Outdoor Championships with a time of 33:57.85 and 16th in the 5,000 with a 15:49.10 clocking.
2012-13: (CC): Raced in five of six meets as a sophomore, recording Top 30 finishes at both the Belmont Invitational and the Commodore Classic...Posted his best finish of the season in WKU's opening meet, placing 20th at the Belmont Invitational with a 5K time of 16:05...Followed up with an impressive performance the very next week, notching 27th place at the Commodore Classic with a personal record 8K clocking of 25:27.56...Was the third finisher for WKU at the Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Championships, coming in at 39th with an 8K time of 25:55.4...(Indoor): Did not compete. (Outdoor): Did not compete.
2011-2012: (CC) Competed in all six meets.... Posted his best 8,000-meter finish in the Old Timers Classic, placing 2nd with a time of 26:07.3.... Ran a season-best 25:24.04 at the Greater Louisville Classic... Placed 16th at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, clocking 26:08.1. (Indoor) Finished 6th at the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 5,000-meter run, clocking a career-best 15:07.17 in the event. Lead leg of the third-place finishing distance medley relay at SBC Indoor Championships...Posted a 14th-place finish in the mile run at the Blue Raider Invitational with personal-record time of 4:35.90. Also notched a personal-best in the 800-meter run, finishing 18th with a 2:09.82 clocking. (Outdoor) Finished 9th in the 10,000-meter run at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a career-best time of 32:55.88....Placed 26th in the 1,500-meters at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational with a season-best time of 4:06.17....Notched a 12th-place finish in the 800-meters at the Wood/Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky., clocking a 2:05.10.
