HS/Misc.: Patterson played for head coach Nick Bach at Mountain View High School, and was an Honor Roll student off the field for the Bears. As a senior, he made 65 tackles with four interceptions and 24 pass breakups. He earned Second Team All-Region 6-AAAAAAA and was a three-time Gwinnett Daily Post Defensive Honor Roll honoree during his high school career. He was rated as a two-star with a 78 composite score by 247Sports, ranking 223rd overall in the state and 227th nationally at his position. He chose WKU over Ball State and Georgia Southern.
