2019 (r-Jr) | 13/13: Walker started all 13 games for the Hilltoppers after moving from defensive back to running back during the 2019 offseason. He finished second in Conference USA with 241 carries and 1,208 yards, while his seven 100-yard performances tied for the most in the league. On the national scope, he finished 18th in carries and 28th in yards. The very definition of an "every-down" player, he accounted for 92% of the carries and 93% of the yards by WKU running backs. Meanwhile, his eight rushing touchdowns led the Hilltoppers, one ahead of Ty Storey's seven scores. He made a statement on his very first collegiate carry, rushing for a 68-yard touchdown on WKU's first offensive play of the season in the opener on Aug. 29 vs. Central Arkansas; his 152 yards that evening against the Bears would end up being a season-high. He also added 24 receptions for 140 yards, including career-highs of four receptions for 40 yards in WKU's First Responder Bowl victory; in fact, his season-long 20-yard catch with only three seconds remaining set the table for Cory Munson's game-winning field goal.
2018 (r-So.) |12/0: Walker saw his first action as a Hilltopper, playing in all 12 games while recording nine tackles, including two for loss. He grabbed his first-career interception on Nov. 17 vs. UTEP, which he returned 20 yards for a touchdown, giving WKU a 40-0 lead late in the second quarter against the Miners. It was 1-of-5 picks in the first half for the Hilltoppers, helping the defense set an FBS Era single-game record in the process. Walker recorded a career-high three tackles on Sept. 22 at Ball State, then matched that number on Oct. 20 vs. Old Dominion. He recorded a tackle for loss that night against the Monarchs, and also earlier in the season on Sept. 8 vs. Maine, which thwarted a fake punt attempt by the Black Bears.
2017 (r-Fr.): Walker did not see any time as a redshirt freshman for WKU.
2016 (Fr.): Walker redshirted his first season on The Hill.
HS/Misc.: Walker prepped at East Bay High School under coach Frank LaRosa where he split time on both sides of the ball his senior season. Offensively, Walker rushed for over 500 yards and racked up six touchdowns. Defensively, he had 18 tackles and four interceptions. Walker was ranked as a two-star prospect by Scout.com, 247Sports, and Rivals.com. The Tampa, Fla., native was named to the All-Western Conference Second Team by the Tampa Tribune.
