BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Sophomore Setter Kate Rush has been named the Conference USA Setter of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Rush again put together an impressive state line over the weekend, tallying 118 assists, 17 kills, 11 aces, 16 digs, and six blocks.
The sophomore logged a double-double against Dayton on Saturday with 41 assists and 11 kills. She added four digs, three aces, three blocks, and hit .476 in the match. The 11 kills are a career high for the native of Georgetown, Ky.
In a 3-0 win over Wright State on Friday, Rush served up a career high six aces. On Thursday, Rush logged 44 assists, marking her new best in a Hilltopper uniform.
Rush is currently leading the league in service aces with 19 total, seven more than the second most. She also is averaging 9.55 assists/set, which ranks third in the league.
The Hilltoppers open the 2026 home slate against Pepperdine on Thursday, Sept. 10. First serve from E.A. Diddle Arena is set for 6 p.m. CT. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
