BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Three WKU Volleyball Student-Athletes have earned Conference USA Weekly Honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Kaira Knox was named Offensive Player of the Week, Kate Rush was tabbed as Setter of the Week, and Eliza McKnight earned Freshman of the Week honors.
For Knox, this marks her first Offensive Player of the Week honor. Knox anchored a WKU offense that saw 62 kills Friday and 73 on Saturday. Out of that, Knox totaled 40 kills for an average of 4.44/set on a .378 hitting clip along with 14 digs, two blocks, and an assist. Knox managed 22 kills in a reverse sweep on Saturday, matching a career best along with eight digs and a block. On Friday, she finished with 18 in a four-set win along with six digs and a block. Her 22 kills were the most of anyone in CUSA over the weekend.
Rush earns the distinction of Setter of the Week for the third time in 2026. She was instrumental for the WKU offense over the weekend, finishing with 110 assists for an average of 12.22/set along with two service aces, seven kills, and three blocks. She managed 47 assists in a four-set win Friday and followed that up Saturday with a new career high 63 assists in a reverse sweep. Her 63 assists were the most last the weekend across the league and are second overall this season. Rush currently leads CUSA in total assists and service aces.
McKnight earns freshman of the week honors for the first time. A key player at the net, she finished with 22 total kills for an average of 2.44/set and a .568 hitting clip along with three blocks and two assists. On Friday, McKnight compiled a clean sheet with 12 kills on 20 attempts with no errors and a .600 hitting mark. She added 10 kills and two blocks in a reverse sweep win on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers return to action Friday night, hosting Missouri State. First serve from E.A. Diddle Arena is set for 6 p.m. CT.
