BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU students will have another option when purchasing concessions at Hilltopper Football home games, as WKU Restaurant Group Concessions will now accept declining balance meal plan dollars at select concession stands inside Houchens-Smith Stadium.
Beginning with WKU Football's upcoming home game against Mercyhurst on Saturday, Sept. 26, students may use eligible declining balance funds at WKU Restaurant Group Concession Stands 2 and 3, both located on the East Concourse (old side/visiting team side) of Houchens-Smith Stadium.
Eligible declining balance funds include Meal Plan Dollars, Flex Dollars, Dining Dollars and Big Red Dollars.
The new payment option provides WKU students with additional flexibility to use funds already available through their meal plans while attending Hilltopper Football games.
WKU meal plan meal swipes will not be accepted at concession stands. Additionally, contracted outside vendors located throughout Houchens-Smith Stadium will not accept declining balance funds. Declining balance purchases are limited to WKU Restaurant Group Concession Stands 2 and 3 on the East Concourse. Alcoholic beverages are also excluded and may not be purchased using meal plan declining balance funds.
Students must have their WKU ID available when making eligible purchases.
Declining balance meal plan dollars will also be available in the future at events in E.A. Diddle Arena. More information will be available at a later date.
Admission to WKU Football home games is free to current WKU students. Students must scan their WKU ID at Gate 4 to enter the stadium. Student seating areas at Houchens-Smith Stadium are located on the East Concourse (old side/visiting team side) and include sections 125, 126, 127, 128, 133, 134, 135, 334 and the berm.
