BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Lee Wood has announced the 2026 cross country competition schedule.
The team opens its 2026 slate at the Stegemoller Screagle Twilight hosted by Southern Indiana on Friday, Sept. 4 at
USI Cross Country Course in Evansville, Ind. The Tops will then travel for the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri on Friday, Sept. 25 at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo. with coverage of the event streaming live on SEC Network Plus.
WKU returns to action the following week at the 25th Annual Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Oct. 3 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville. The event will stream live on YouTube with live results available on Flash Results.
WKU travels for the Eagle/Knight Invite co-hosted by Morehead State and Kentucky Christian on Friday, Oct. 16 at Eagle Trace Golf Course in Morehead, Ky. Live results will be available via AthleticLIVE and full meet information can be found here.
The 2026 Conference USA Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 at John Hunt Park Cross Country Course in Huntsville, Ala. More information on the CUSA Championships will be released at a later date.
The 2026 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship Southeast Regionals are set to take place on Friday, Nov. 13 at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. More information on NCAA Regionals competition will be released at a later date.
