BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU women's basketball head coach Greg Collins has announced his team's 2026-27 non-conference schedule. The schedule features 13 total non-conference games, including six in E.A. Diddle Arena. Three of WKU's non-conference opponents were NCAA Tournament teams in 2025-26.
The overall schedule is 31 total games with 18 previously announced Conference USA matchups. The Lady Toppers will play 15 total games in Diddle Arena in 2026-27.
The season unofficially starts with an exhibition game against Young Harris on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Diddle Arena. That game will serve as the annual Top'r Treat game. Prior to the game, trick-or-treating and other Halloween activities will be available throughout Diddle Arena for young Lady Topper fans. Children are encouraged to dress in costume for the game.
The official tipoff to the 2026-27 season will be against Chattanooga on Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Diddle Arena. It will be the fourth meeting between WKU and Chattanooga all-time. The two teams met last season in Chattanooga. WKU will continue the season against Christian Brothers on Sunday, Nov. 8 in Diddle Arena. The Mocs finished last season 20-11, including 10-4 in the SoCon.
The Lady Toppers will hit the road for the first time in 2026-27 to take on Vanderbilt in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Last season, Vanderbilt was a Sweet 16 team in the NCAA Tournament. WKU took on the Commodores last season in Bowling Green and have played Vandy in four of the last five seasons. It will be the 38th meeting all-time between the Lady Toppers and Vandy.
WKU will then return home for two games. The Lady Toppers will host Kentucky State on Monday, Nov. 16 and Southern Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 24. It will be the 14th meeting between WKU and Kentucky State. The Lady Toppers 13-0 against the Thorobreds all-time. It will be the 17th all-time meeting between WKU and SIU. The Lady Toppers have a 9-7 record against the Salukis, including a win in Carbondale last season.
The Lady Toppers will participate in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament in Boca Raton, Florida on Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. WKU will face FAU first on Friday, Nov. 27 and then Morehead State on Saturday, Nov. 28. It will be the 30th meeting all-time between WKU and FAU. The Lady Toppers are 25-4 against the Owls. It will be the 34th meeting between WKU and Morehead State all-time and the first since 2019. The Lady Toppers are 23-10 against Morehead State.
WKU will hit the road for back-to-back away games to start December. The Lady Toppers will take on Campbell in Buies Creek, North Carolina on Wednesday, Dec. 2. It will be the first ever meeting between the programs. The Camels finished 2025-26 with a 20-12 record, including a 13-5 record in the Coastal Athletic Association. Then the Lady Toppers will face Evansville on the road on Sunday, Dec. 6. That will be the 11th meeting between the two teams all-time and the first since 2017. WKU is 9-1 against the Purple Aces.
The Lady Toppers will host 2026 MAC champion Miami (Ohio) on Sunday, Dec. 13. It will be the 10th meeting between WKU and Miami and the seventh in the last nine seasons. WKU is 8-1 against the RedHawks all-time.
WKU will take a road trip to the northeast to take on Holy Cross and Yale. The Lady Toppers will face Holy Cross on Wednesday, Dec. 16 and Yale on Saturday, Dec. 19. It will be only the second time WKU has played Holy Cross. The first time was in 2005 in a tournament in Tempe, Arizona. Holy Cross is the reigning Patriot League champions. The Lady Toppers have never played Yale prior to this season.
The Lady Toppers will close out the non-conference schedule with a home game against Arkansas Tech on Tuesday, Dec. 29.
