DALLAS – WKU Softball placed five on Conference USA's All-Conference teams with Erica Houge and Annie White earning First Team honors, Jenna Blanton and Morgan Sharpe earning Second Team honors, and Lauren Satterly earning All Freshman, the league announced Tuesday.
Houge's First Team All-Conference honor is the second in her career after being named to the 2025 CUSA All-Freshman team. She picked up where she left off after last season, posting 21 wins and becoming only the seventh pitcher in WKU history with at least 20 wins. Before the first week of conference play, Houge was ranked second in CUSA in ERA, but bounced back and got her ERA down to as low as 1.70 to take first place and never surrender for the rest of the regular season. Since then, Houge has hovered around a 2.00 ERA and is currently at 2.03, good enough to be ranked 32nd in the country.
Houge also threw WKU's 14th no-hitter in program history on March 1 against IU Indy, needing just 90 pitches and facing 23 batters in the five-inning run-rule victory.
The sophomore also finished the regular season ranked second in opponent batting average at .194, just behind her junior counterpart, Rylan Smith. Houge is ranked ninth in total strikeouts with 90 and is eighth in batters struck out looking at 20. Houge also leads the league in total wins at 21, needing only 30 games to reach the 20-win mark. She's thrown a total of 12 complete games and has been responsible for three complete-game shutouts and has been part of three others for a total of six, ranking her 15th nationally in shutouts. In her 162.1 innings of work, she's allowed only 47 runs, given up 114 hits, and has only issued 50 walks.
Annie White's First Team honor is the second All-Conference honor in her career and comes after a season where there was not a week where she didn't rank in the top five in batting average in the entire conference. Since conference play began back in early March, White has been ranked top five in both batting average and on-base percentage. Since March 26, she's been first in on-base percentage and hasn't given the spot up since.
She's hitting a staggering .415 through 49 games with 56 hits in 135 at-bats. In addition, the junior is second in slugging at .763. She's collected 12 home runs on the season and amassed an impressive 22-game reached base streak from February 21 to April 2. White has also had 14 multi-hit games and leads the team in multi-RBI games with 12 and was the only player on the team with five or more RBI in a single game.
She's ranked fourth in the conference in walks and leads the conference in on-base percentage at .522. White is also currently second in the conference in RBI at 50. Her home run against Evansville on April 15 was not only her 11th of the year, but was also WKU's 51st of the season, helping set a new single-season home run record for the program.
Her efforts at the plate have also helped WKU be ranked consistently in the top 30 nationally in batting average since March 10. On defense, White has also been an anchor for WKU at first base, posting only two errors all season for a .994 fielding percentage.
Sharpe's All-Conference Second Team nod is the second in her career after earning the same honor in 2024. She has been nothing but steady at the plate for the Hilltoppers, posting a .374 batting average, collecting 55 hits in 147 at-bats, and is ranked ninth in CUSA in batting average.
The junior leads WKU in doubles with 17, ranking her second all-time in program history. Her 17 doubles are also the second most in the conference. Sharpe has also posted an impressive .429 on-base percentage and is posting a 1.034 OPS when combined with her .605 slugging percentage.
The Tennessee native has also started all 49 games at shortstop for WKU and is fourth in the conference in assists at 105 and has a .947 fielding percentage. Sharpe also hit her first career home run this season and has arrived at a total of three home runs. Last but not least, Sharpe is also tied for second in the conference in triples with four.
After returning from a season-ending injury in 2025, Blanton earns her first Second Team All-Conference honor of her career. Much like White, Blanton has also been ranked top three in the conference in batting average for a majority of the season. Her batting average has also been the best for WKU all season.
She's currently ranked second with a .426 batting average and is third in hits with 69. Blanton is also tied for second in triples with four. She's totaled 64 hits on the year and has managed 80 total bases. As an outfielder, she's only had one error in 48 total chances.
On the base paths, Blanton leads the team in stolen bases with 20 and is ranked third in the conference in that category.
Rounding out the All-Conference honors for the Hilltoppers is Satterly who earns her first All-Conference honor with a spot on the CUSA All-Freshman team.
Satterly, who earned her starting spot learning an entirely new position, has quickly become a staple in WKU's lineup. She's started 23 of the 31 games she's appeared in and is currently at a .323 batting average.
In her 65 at-bats, she's collected a total of 21 hits with four doubles and two home runs. Satterly has also recorded 15 RBI this season and has scored 18 runs herself. The freshman is slashing .323/.482/.477 on the season and all 23 of her starts have been at catcher, posting a .971 fielding percentage.
The No. 2-seeded Hilltoppers turn their attention to the Conference USA tournament in Newark, Delaware. With the No. 2 seed, the Hilltoppers earned a double bye to the second day of game play and will play on Thursday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. CT. The Tops will play the winner of Game Four.
