BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Men's Basketball has announced the Hilltopper Assist, a student scholarship initiative made possible through a financial commitment from a group of Hilltopper Athletic Foundation donors.
Building on a similar initiative introduced by WKU Volleyball, Hilltopper Assist gives eligible WKU students the opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship at 12 men's basketball home games in Diddle Arena during the 2026-27 season.
A minimum of 300 students must be in attendance at each qualifying home game for the scholarship drawing to take place. The winner will be announced during the under-16 or under-12 media timeout of the second half.
The Hilltopper Assist will not be available for four home games during winter break:
- Dec. 16 vs. Lipscomb
- Dec. 28 vs. Bethel (Tenn.)
- Jan. 7 vs. New Mexico State
- Jan. 9 vs. Sam Houston
The first opportunity for students to participate in the Hilltopper Assist comes one week from today when WKU opens the 2026-27 season against Morehead State on Monday, Nov. 2, inside E.A. Diddle Arena, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
Season and single-game tickets for WKU Hilltopper Basketball are on sale now for the 2026-27 season, with men's basketball season tickets starting at $75 per seat, plus an additional HAF donation. Fans can secure seats by purchasing HERE, calling 1-800-5-BIGRED or visiting the WKU ticket office at Diddle Arena.
