BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Head Coach Travis Hudson and the WKU Volleyball program are excited to announce the annual volleyball banquet to celebrate the 2025 season.Â
It will be held on Saturday, February 28th in the Jack and Jackie Harbaugh Stadium Club on the side of L.T. Smith Stadium closest to the new fieldhouse. Parking is available in both the DSU South Lawn Lot and PS2, and you can enter the building along Avenue of Champions and take the elevator to the club level.
The program will include a buffet lunch starting at 11:00am followed by a program to recognize the 2025 players and season. The cost of the banquet is $25 per person, which includes your meal. You may choose to give more to help sponsor one or more of the players' meals. Our goal is to get enough sponsors to cover the cost of the players' meals and the awards. Any additional money will be placed directly into our program. We realize the success of previous banquets is due to those who have helped sponsor it so thank you for your generous support throughout the years!
To recap, the 2025 fall season was another one for the books as this marked the 26th straight 20+ win season with an overall record of 27-6 and a 15-1 conference mark. WKU Volleyball claimed their 11th regular season Conference USA championship and captured its 10th CUSA tournament championship since joining the league in 2014 to receive an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament. This was the program's 18th NCAA tournament appearance since 2002 and 11th appearance in the last 12 seasons.
This team earned numerous accolades including six CUSA All-Conference selections and one All-Freshman team selection along with the CUSA Alyssa Cavanaugh Player of the Year, Setter of the Year, and Freshman of the Year awards. Three Hilltoppers were named All-Region selections and one was named an AVCA All-American. This marks the 18th season since 2005 that WKU Volleyball has had an All-American honor.
Finally, WKU volleyball climbed as high as #26 in the national poll, marking the 15th season WKU Volleyball has either been nationally ranked or received votes in the last 15 years. To commemorate yet another NCAA tournament run, we are also asking for your support to purchase NCAA championship rings for our players as a keepsake that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. If you would like to sponsor a player (each ring is $250 but any amount is greatly appreciated), please fill out the form included with this letter and return it to the WKU Volleyball office.
It was a memorable season full of overcoming challenges on the road to success, and we hope you will join us for the banquet to recognize the tremendous accomplishments of this VERY special group of young ladies! If you have any questions regarding the banquet or ring sponsorship, please email Kristi Griffin at kristi.griffin@wku.edu. Hope to see you on February 28th!
To RSVP, please fill out and mail the form linked at the top of the page, marked "RSVP".
