JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Following a 3-0 weekend, Alivia Skidmore and Faith Young were named to the Buccaneer Classic Presented by the Tri-Cities Airport All-Tournament Team.Â
Skidmore was also named the tournament's most valuable player.Â
The 5-10 outside hitter finished the weekend with a team-high 32 kills and finished with a .348 hitting percentage. She was also responsible for seven total blocks including two solo efforts and a service ace. Skidmore also helped the Hilltoppers keep their opponents to a .127 hitting percentage with eight digs. She matched her offensive efforts against ETSU and VCU with 12 kills in each match.Â
Young also had a big weekend with a team-high 11 blocks on the weekend for an average of 1.22 blocks per set. The Ohio native also posted the third-most kills over the weekend with 29 with a .389 clip. She posted a team-high six blocks against High Point and was responsible for over half of the team's total blocks. In addition to her offensive and defensive production, she collected eight digs and two service aces.Â
Both Knox and Young will join WKU Volleyball this week as they host Vanderbilt on Tuesday, Sept. 16. First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT.Â
