DALLAS, Texas – Conference USA announced its first Players of the Week for the 2025 season with none other than WKU's own, Kaira Knox earning Freshman of the Week honors.
In her debut with the Hilltoppers (2-1 overall), Knox collected 46 kills over the three matches, averaging 4.18 kills per set on a .257 (46-20-101) hitting percentage and contributing over 30% of WKU's total kills.
In addition, Knox also secured 20 digs and a total of eight blocks including a weekend-high five blocks against Drake. She also improved throughout the entire weekend, going from 12 kills in match one to 13 in match two, then finishing the WKU Invitational with a team-high 21 kills in the match against the Bulldogs. At the service line, she posted a 76.9% success rate.
Knox also earned a spot on the WKU Invitational All-Tournament team and was also named MVP.
After the weekend, Knox is currently ranked second in CUSA in kills.
