BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Maddy Robinson was named head coach of the WKU Dance program on Thursday. She takes over for Audrey McDole, who had served in the capacity since 2021.
In addition to coaching the program, Robinson will also provide organization for the team, help prepare routines for gameday and nationals competition, run the program's social media and grow its recruiting and fundraising efforts.
"I look forward to joining the WKU community," Robinson said. "The program has excellent tradition and a history of success, and I look forward to coaching and instructing every athlete and helping them reach their full potential."
Robinson graduated from the University of Louisville where she was a member of the dance team, "The Ladybirds," for five years. She also served as an athletic department intern while finishing her graduate work.
Upon graduation, Robinson worked for Tribe 99, a premier dance team choreography agency that also specializes in collegiate dance recruitment and prep. She has choreographed for teams all over the nation and outside the country, as well as instructing many dancers through their high school and collegiate careers.
A native of Southern Indiana, Robinson earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in higher education administration from Louisville. She graduated from Floyd Central High School and was a four-time UDA National Champion and captain on the dance team.
