BOWLING GREEN, Ky – WKU Volleyball added three more awards to its resume on Tuesday with the College Sports Communicators announcing their 2025 Academic All-District Selections. Setter Callie Bauer, defensive specialist Abby Schaefer, and libero Tayler Baron each earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
To be considered for CSC Academic All-District honors, the athletes must be at least a sophomore and carry a 3.50 GPA.
Tuesday's announcement is the third time Bauer and Schaefer have been named Academic All-District while this is Baron's first.
Bauer finished the 2025 season with a 3.88 GPA in Business Management while also leading the Hilltoppers to a 27-6 overall record and the fifth best hitting percentage in the country at .312. As an individual, Bauer finished her career ranked fourth in program history in total career assists at 4,978.
The Michigan native was also selected as a CSC Academic All-American finalist and will move on to the national ballot. CSC Academic All-American teams will be announced January 13, 2026.
Schaefer carried a 3.72 GPA as a nursing major and helped anchored WKU's back row with 238 digs and 50 assists. One of two primary serve receivers for the Tops, she finished the season with a .950 serve reception rate.
Last but certainly not least, Baron posted a perfect 4.00 in her first season on The Hill as a Biology/Pre-Med major. The sophomore led the Hilltoppers in the back row with 397 digs and finished with a .970 serve reception rate while also leading the team in service aces with 33.
