DALLAS, Texas – After earning its 11th Conference USA Regular Season Championship, WKU Volleyball added another accolade as CUSA announced its Players of the Week on Monday.
Setter Callie Bauer earned her seventh Setter of the Week award on Monday after a weekend that saw her record 75 assists in six sets.
Turning in another comprehensive performance for the Hilltoppers, Bauer finished with 75 assists, nine kills, two service aces, 15 digs, and five total blocks. As a setter, her best performance was on Friday with 38 assists while her best blocking performance was Saturday with three.
WKU continues to shine on the national stage thanks to Bauer, who's led the Hilltoppers to top five rankings in hitting percentage (5th, .305), kills per set (14.46), and assists per set (13.52). On the conference level, WKU is also first in assists per set in both overall and conference only statistics.
As an individual, Bauer has assumed the top spot in assists per set in overall statistics, averaging 10.24 a set, and is third in total assists at 932.
Last but certainly not least, Bauer is the active career leader in total assists in NCAA DI Volleyball with 4,800.
