DALLAS – WKU Soccer graduate senior goalkeeper Maddie Davis and junior midfielder Georgia Liapis have been named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
Davis, an architectural science and construction management major, has held a 4.00 GPA throughout her time on The Hill. She has started in 12 of 13 matches played for WKU this season, including every CUSA match. Davis boasts the lowest goals against average in the league (0.800), the best save percentage (0.831), and the third most shutouts (five).
Davis was previously named to the All-Academic Team in 2023 (Second Team) and earned CSC Academic All-District Honors in both 2023 and 2024.
Liapis currently holds a 3.90 GPA while pursuing a degree in marketing with a minor in psychology. She has been the offensive leader for WKU this season starting in 15 of 16 matches. Liapis leads the team in goals (nine), points (20), and shots (41). In addition, she is second in CUSA in goals and third in points. With her game-winning goal against Jax State, Liapis moved to a tie for seventh in single season goals in WKU history.
This is the first CUSA All-Academic honor for Liapis. She was previously named to the CUSA Academic Honor Roll and given the Commissioner's Academic Medal in 2024.
The Hilltoppers will open up the 2025 CUSA Championship as the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 seed Missouri State on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 3:30 p.m in Lynchburg, Va.
