BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women's Tennis lost 5-2 to Lipscomb on Sunday at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanon Park to fall to 2-1 this season.

WKU claimed the doubles point for the third time in as many matches.
The duo of Mia Miranda/Emily Schut improve to 3-0 in doubles play this season, while Sofia Blanco/Rachel Hermanova improve to 2-0.
Blanco's doubles win was the 40th of her career, which ranks second on the program's career doubles wins list.
Emily Schut improves to 3-0 in singles play in her WKU career with her 6-3, 6-1 victory on Sunday.

"Hats off to Lipscomb. We really gave them our best shot. We were up 2-1 in four of the first sets and it just kind of got away from us. Give them credit. Lipscomb just kept playing more aggressive and that's what we've got to learn to do. We've got a real short turnaround this week with SIU Edwardsville coming in. They won their conference tournament last year and made the NCAA Tournament. It's the best team they've ever had there. "I feel like we've competed really well in doubles. We played the key points with a high intensity and I think we just put into the match what we do in practice. "I think overall we competed well today, but we were lacking a few things. Most importantly, I would say conditioning, because in my match I went to the third set and I needed more energy. Also, being really confident and not losing three games in a row and also using the opportunities when we are going into the net more.
