BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A total of 81 WKU student-athletes are set to graduate from Western Kentucky University this spring and summer.
Of the 81, 66 will be celebrating a spring graduation later this week. Fifteen of those will be honored for completing their graduate coursework, while the remaining 51 will be earning their bachelor's degrees. The average GPA for WKU's 2024 spring graduates is 3.29.
Degrees and certificates obtained include the areas of management, sport management, organizational leadership, intercollegiate athletic administration, marketing, interdisciplinary studies, physical education, mechanical engineering, construction management, finance, recreation and sport administration, entrepreneurship, applied economics, business economics, criminology, sociology, agriculture, chemistry, journalism, business data analytics, visual arts, political science, nursing, communication disorders, speech-language pathology, biology, health administration, exercise science, communicating in healthcare, accounting, elementary education, and social work.
Fifteen WKU student-athletes are summer graduates. WKU's summer graduate GPA average is 3.34, and the average GPA of those graduating in the spring and summer is 3.32. WKU had 33 student-athletes graduate in December.
WKU has continued to achieve high standards in the classroom, earning its highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in program history (88%) in the latest report released by the NCAA last December.
WKU's Spring Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 2, at Houchens-Smith Stadium, and College Recognition Ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 3, at E.A. Diddle Arena.
