BOWLING GREEN, KY. -- With a share of the CUSA regular season championship at stake, Kaylee Cox led the Hilltoppers offensively in their sweep of the Sam Houston Bearkats to earn her fourth CUSA Offensive Player of the Week nod of the 2024 season.
This week's award marks the fourth Offensive Player of the Week nod for Cox as she finished the weekend with 28 total kills. Â
Cox earned her fourth Player of the Week after the 2-0 sweep of the Bearkats where she registered a .411 [28-5-56] hitting percentage while averaging 4.67 kills per set. She also was responsible for four service aces and six total blocks that included four solo efforts.Â
The Texas native also posted near-identical double-doubles, posting 14 kills and 10 digs on Friday and 14 kills and 11 digs on Saturday. She currently leads the Hilltoppers in kills with 370 and service aces with 46. Those 46 service aces also ties her for 26th in the country in total service aces. Cox has also helped the Hilltoppers to a .303 hitting percentage that ranks fifth in the country.Â
WKU Volleyball hosts its final regular season series this Thursday and Friday against Liberty. Both matches are scheduled for 6 p.m. with the four WKU seniors—including Cox—being recognized prior to the match on Friday.Â
