Lady Toppers Defeated by Ball State on Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. — WKU Tennis continued its 2023 season on Saturday losing 7-0 to Ball State in Muncie, Ind. The Lady Toppers move to 6-4 on the year, while the Cardinals improve to 5-2.

The Lady Toppers lost the doubles point for the first time in five matches, dropping matches on court's one and three, 6-2 and 6-1, with the match on court one going unfinished. The Lady Toppers dropped all five singles matches making the final tally 7-0, in favor of Ball State.

"Ball State showed why they are picked to win the MAC today," said head coach Greg Davis. "We have a quick turnaround playing tomorrow morning against a very improved IUPUI team."

WKU will head to Indianapolis tomorrow, Feb. 19 to play IUPUI at 8 a.m. CT.
