BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A total of 33 WKU student-athletes are set to participate in graduation ceremonies and earn their degrees from Western Kentucky University this weekend.
Six of the 33 student-athletes will be receiving their master's degrees, while the others will be earning their bachelor's degrees or receiving a certificate of completion in a new area.
Degrees obtained include agriculture, biology, business administration, business data analytics, communicating in healthcare, English, exercise science, facility and event management, intercollegiate athletic administration, organization leadership, political science, real estate, sport management, sociology and recreation and sport management among others.
Over the 2023 calendar year, 83 student-athletes have earned their degree from the institution, including 50 in the spring.
Graduation ceremonies are set to take place on Friday, Dec. 8 in E.A. Diddle Arena.
WKU has continued to achieve high standards in the classroom, earning its highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in program history (88%) in the latest report released by the NCAA this week.
This semester's graduating class holds a cumulative GPA of 3.2.
