BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Head coach Marc Rardin and WKU Baseball have announced the 2024 baseball schedule.

The 56-game slate features 30 games in Bowling Green at Nick Denes Field as well as 13 meetings with 2023 NCAA Tournament teams. In all, WKU will take on six teams that made the postseason including two regional hosts and one super regional participant.

WKU opens its 105th year of baseball with a three-game series against Bradley from February 16-18 at Nick Denes Field. The Tops will follow that with a midweek game at Lipscomb on Feb. 20 in Nashville, Tenn. before hosting a four-game series against Purdue Fort Wayne from Feb. 23-25. WKU will round out the month with Tuesday trip to Lexington to play super regional participant, Kentucky on Feb. 27.

Another 2023 NCAA Tournament team, the West Virginia Mountaineers visit The Hill to start the month of March for WKU with a four-game series from March 1-3. This marks the first matchup between the two programs since the 2018 season when WVU visited The Hill for a three-game series.

It is back on the road for the Tops the following Tuesday, March 5 with a midweek matchup at Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky.

WKU returns home for another four-game series against Milwaukee at Nick Denes Field from March 8-10. The four-game series marks the first time these two teams have ever faced off against each other.

The following Tuesday, the Tops head to Clarksville, Tenn. for a midweek game against Austin Peay on March 12 before hitting the road for its first road series of the season at Southeast Missouri State in Cape Giradeau, Mo. from March 15-17. The Hilltoppers will then host a midweek game for the first time this season against Southern Indiana on March 19.

Conference USA play starts the next weekend with the Tops hosting FIU from March 22-24 at Nick Denes Field. Another in-state clash follows that when WKU heads to Murray, Ky. to play Murray State on March 26 before its first CUSA road series against Jacksonville State from March 28-30 in Jacksonville, Ala, marking the first time the two squads will matchup as conference opponents.

WKU heads back to Nashville, Tenn. to start the month of April with a Tuesday game against 2023 SEC Champion and 2023 NCAA Tournament participant, Vanderbilt on April 2. 2023 CUSA Champion and 2023 NCAA Tournament team, Dallas Baptist heads for The Hill the next weekend for a three-game series at Nick Denes Field from April 5-7, marking the first time WKU has hosted DBU in program history.

The Hilltoppers will then host Louisville for the first time since 2021 on April 9 at Nick Denes Field before WKU heads to Huntsville, Texas to play 2023 NCAA Tournament team, Sam Houston for the first time in program history from April 12-14. They will hit the road again to play Southern Indiana for the second time this season, this time in Evansville, Ind. on April 16.

The Tops are back at home the next weekend with a three-game series against new CUSA opponent Liberty on April 19-21, another opponent they have never played prior to the upcoming season. They will head back to Louisville, Ky. to play Louisville for a midweek game the next Tuesday, March 23.

The longest road stand of the season continues as WKU and Middle Tennessee clash in Murfreesboro, Tenn. from April 26-28. The Hilltoppers will wrap up seven straight road games with a trip to Asheville, N.C. to play UNC Asheville for the final non-conference series of the season from May 3-5, marking just the second time these two teams have faced off in a series with the first coming in 2014 in Bowling Green.

WKU will host its final midweek game of the season, facing off against Bellarmine for the second time this year on May 7 before heading to Ruston, La. for its final road series of the season against Louisiana Tech from May 10-12.

The Tops will wrap up the regular season at home with a three-game series against New Mexico State from May 16-18.

The 2024 Conference USA Championship will take place at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston, La. The five-day tournament will take play from May 22-26 in the 2,000-plus seat Love Shack, which last hosted in 2021. The tournament will feature the eight teams in a double-elimination format with the championship game being played on Sunday, May 26.
