BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The 2023 WKU Track & Field season opens Friday when the Hilltoppers kick off their indoor season at the Commodore Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.

The meet will span Friday and Saturday, and both days will feature live streaming and live results at the links above.
Once of the big storylines to watch for during Brent Chumbley's fourth season as the leader of the program will be the return of high jumper Katie Isenbarger. Isenbarger finished third at the Conference USA Indoor Championships last spring before moving on to NCAA Indoor Championships. At the NCAA's, Isenbarger cleared the 6-foot mark to place fifth in the country and vault her to All-American status.
Several other Hilltoppers also represented well during the 2022 indoor season, with WKU getting points at the C-USA Championships from Ajla Basic and Aitana Safont Falomir in the weight throw and Grace Turner in the high jump on the women's side.
The men were represented by Demetrius Rolle joining Isenbarger with a third-place podium finish in the 60m, and pole-vaulter Devon Montgomery turned in the third-best mark in program history at 4.74m (15' 6.5") to score four points. Brett Brannon secured three points in the weight throw, and shot putters Kaison Barton and John Elam combined for six points.
