BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Cross Country has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.
WKU will open its season on Friday, Sept. 2 when it heads to Oxford, Ala., for the Jacksonville State-hosted Foothills Invitational.
The squad will make another trip to Alabama just two weeks later when it visits Huntsville for the North Alabama Showcase on Friday, Sept. 16.
WKU's first in-state meet of the season will come at a familiar course, with the team set to compete in the Live in Lou Classic on Saturday, Oct. 1 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., a meet the Hilltoppers have attended for the past 16 consecutive seasons.
The team will wrap up regular season action on Friday, Oct. 14 when it heads to fellow Conference USA school UAB for the Blazer Classic.
WKU will then open postseason competition on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the North Texas-hosted Conference USA Championships before closing out the season at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky., on Friday, Nov. 11.
The Hilltoppers are currently set to return 10 total student-athletes from both the men's and women's side while welcoming 13 newcomers into the fold.
