LOUISVILLE, Ky. – WKU Cross Country wrapped up its season as runners Audrey Boles, Mary Dye, Lucy Rutherford, and Brad Wiggins closed out competition at the NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park on Friday morning.
Boles finished 198th, clocking in at 24:40.80. Closely behind was junior Rutherford in 209th at a 25:01.40 pace, while sophomore Dye completed in the 6k course 220th, and recording a time of 25:36.60 in the competitive 228-runner field that featured nationally ranked teams such as No. 1 NC State, No. 12 Virginia, No. 15 North Carolina and No. 28 Furman.
Wiggins wrapped up in 188th place and ran a 34:29.90 pace in the men's 8k, with a slate of No.7 Wake Forest, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 15 NC State, No. 19 Virginia, and 2022 C-USA Champion No. 30 Charlotte.
The meet marked a close to WKU's cross country season, as the team will now prepare for its indoor track slate.
