The keynote speaker for "Women of Western" will be Sarah Nuse, owner and operator of Tippi Toes, professional speaker and author of "Destined for Greatness: Living an inspired life, from head to Tippi Toes."
Nuse also hosts the Destined for Greatness podcast that centers around a common theme – the source of inspiration, the power of support, dreaming big and entrepreneurial spirit.
Through her Destined for Greatness Accountability Program, Nuse opens women up to their dreams and offers them motivation and action steps to build out a successful plan.
Living outside of Nashville, Nuse is the wife of football executive Adam Nuse and the mother of three children.
"Women of Western" will also feature a presentation from Dr. Lacee' Carmon-Johnson entitled "Career Game Plan: The Blueprint." This session will provide information on the tangibles and intangibles to successfully navigate the ever-changing landscape, and how to put your best foot forward.
Carmon-Johnson has been the Director of Professional Development for Purdue Athletics since 2019. She oversees and manages the Boilermakers' strategic plan to provide professional growth to student-athletes, coaches and staff members. In addition to her duties with professional development, Carmon-Johnson also serves as the Associate Director for Academic Services, a position she has held since 2018.
A former assistant director within the WKU Student-Athlete Success Center, Carmon-Johnson is also an adjunct professor in WKU's graduate-level Recreation and Sport Administration program.
Along with presentations by Nuse and Carmon-Johnson, "Women of Western" will also feature a small business owner panel featuring Amanda West (realtor), Tinesha Simmons (Mbellishevents), Emma Napier Craycraft (Zest Juice BG), Halie Chamberlain (270 Nutrition), Kristen Gunn (Back Down South) and Allison Millet (Bowling Green Backyard Bootcamp).
There will also be a Women in Sports panel featuring female employees from within the WKU athletic department.
