BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Hilltopper Basketball will play its third of five straight games at E.A. Diddle Arena on Tuesday against Rhodes College at 7 p.m. CT. The game will stream on ESPN+ and air locally in Bowling Green on WKU PBS.
Â
The Hilltoppers have won two straight games by 15-plus points, most recently beating UT Martin 81-66 on Saturday. Rhodes College, a Division III program, lost 78-57 to Washington University in St. Louis on Sunday.
Â
The Hilltoppers and head coach Rick Stansbury have never faced Rhodes College in a regular season game. The game was added to the schedule on Nov. 16.
TOP STORYLINES
• The Hilltoppers have had a different leading scorer in five of their first six games.
Â
• WKU's five-game homestand is its longest since playing seven in a row at home in the 2014-15 season.
Â
• As of Sunday, WKU ranks 16th in the country in blocks per game (6.0), 25th in steals per game (10.2), 31st in fewest fouls per game (13.8) and 39th in turnovers forced per game (17.8).
Â
• WKU junior center Jamarion Sharp is the tallest player in college basketball at 7 feet, 5 inches. He's also the tallest player in the history of the Hilltopper program. Sharp ranks first in the country in blocks percentage (20.7%), second in total blocks (26) and third in blocks per game (4.3).
Â
• Sharp recorded a triple-double Nov. 24 against Alabama A&M with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. It was the first points-rebounds-blocks triple-double in the country since 2019, and only the third-ever WKU triple-double. Sharp's 10 blocks also set a new WKU single-game record.
Â
• Sharp became the third player in the country in the last 25 seasons to record a triple-double in his first career start, joining Central Arkansas' DeAndre Jones (2018) and Notre Dame's Chris Thomas (2001).
Â
• After making 1 of 19 3-pointers (11%) in the first three games, redshirt senior guard Luke Frampton has made 8 of 20 3-pointers (40%) in the last three games.
