BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU Hilltopper Basketball outgoing senior Jared Savage has signed a professional contract to play next season for G.S. Lavrio B.C. in Greece.
The team currently plays in the Greek League, the top-tier level basketball league in Greece.
Savage, a Bowling Green, Ky., native, started all 64 games he played for the Hilltoppers over his two final college seasons.
As a senior, he was named to the All-Conference USA Third Team and the C-USA All-Defensive Team.
The 6-foot-5 guard/forward averaged 11.7 points and 7.1 rebounds in 2019-20, shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 83.6 percent from the free-throw line and making 67 of 169 3-pointers. He led WKU in rebounding and ranked sixth in Conference USA.
Savage finished his career with 1,294 points including his first two seasons at Austin Peay.
He's the 10th outgoing senior to sign a professional basketball contract under WKU head coach Rick Stansbury. In Stansbury's first three seasons, all nine outgoing seniors went on to play professionally.
