DALLAS ā Fresh off the best regular-season in program history, WKU Volleyball has clinched the top seed in the 2019 Conference USA Championship. Postseason action from Houston will be held in the Tudor Fieldhouse from Nov. 22-24 as eight teams look to lock down the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Match 4: No. 3 North Texas vs. No. 6 UTSA (ESPN+) 7 PM
Saturday, November 7 ā Semifinals

WKU is set to take on No. 8 seed Middle Tennessee in the third meeting between the sides this season. WKU won both prior meetings. The Blue Raiders are making their first appearance in the C-USA Tournament since 2013. First serve of the opening act of the postseason tournament is slated for noon CT from Rice's Tudor Fieldhouse.

Since joining Conference USA, WKU has now won the regular season championship in five of six seasons. The 2019 postseason event will mark the third time that the squad has owned the top seed for the C-USA Championships.

All four previous seasons that WKU has won a regular-season C-USA title, the squad has also gone on to claim the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. From 2014-17, the Lady Toppers earned four-straight berths into the Big Dance.

Current WKU seniors Sophia Cerino and Emma Kowalkowski won the first C-USA Tournament championship of their careers at Rice during the 2016 campaign.

Head coach Travis Hudson has now led his last 22 squads to a conference tournament appearance. Over his 25 seasons as the leader of WKU Volleyball, Hudson has led 23 squads to a postseason appearance. All nine of the program's conference tournament championships have come under Hudson.
