WKU currently sits at 17-1 on the season, matching the second-best start in program history. Both the Red and White's 17 wins and 12 sweeps to date lead the NCAA.
Two of WKU's wins came over teams in the top 50 of the RPI with Northern Kentucky coming in at No. 44 and Arizona State ranking 46th. Ohio State – one of WKU's 12 sweeps - wasn't far behind at 51st. Additional top-100 wins by the Tops include Tulsa (65), Tulane (69), Bowling Green (71), Samford (75), Marshall (76) and Loyola (86).
Including WKU's four-set loss to Louisville, who was ranked No. 21 in the AVCA Coaches Poll at the time and now owns the No. 20 RPI, the Lady Toppers have won 28-of-37 sets against teams with a top-100 RPI. WKU Volleyball has dropped just 10 sets all season with a 52-10 set record.
In Conference USA, five squads rank in the top 100 of the opening RPI. Rice owns the top mark coming in at No. 9 while Marshall (76), Florida Atlantic (80) and UTSA (82) all join the Tops (30) in double digits.
