Fall Schedule
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Four tournaments, including the ITA Regionals, make up the beginning of the schedule for head coach Greg Davis' inaugural season on the Hill. Davis was announced as the eighth head coach of the Lady Topper Tennis program on June 26.
WKU's fall tournament season will begin with the Western Southern Collegiate hosted by Northern Kentucky September 14-15. In 2017, the field consisted of many regional teams from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. EKU and Belmont, frequent competitors of WKU, both competed in the tournament in 2017.
Next on the slate for the Lady Toppers is the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind., September 28-30. The host Boilermakers finished the 2018 spring season 9-4 at home and 14-10 overall.
Following the Purdue Invitational is the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Chattanooga, Tenn., October 11-15. The Ohio Valley Region is a particularly competitive one as the field consistently includes nationally ranked teams, singles and doubles pairs.
At the conclusion of the 2018 season, the following Ohio Valley Regional teams were nationally ranked in the top 50: No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 26 Kentucky and No. 40 Tennessee.
Another trip to the home of the Mocs will cap the fall tournament season as the Lady Toppers will compete in the University of Chattanooga Fall Invite November 2-4.
