BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Just three days after securing its fourth-straight automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, WKU Volleyball is excited to announce that this year's NCAA Selection Show Watch party will take place at Buffalo Wild Wings. This Sunday, Nov. 26, fans are welcome to join the team for the 8 p.m. CT show on ESPNU from the Scottsville Road establishment.
Seating will be limited so be sure to arrive early to secure spots. Additionally, a limited number of WKU Volleyball NCAA Tournament posters will be available on site.
This year's senior class is the first group of Lady Toppers in program history to appear in the NCAA Tournament all four years during its time on The Hill. Over the last three years, WKU has traveled to regional sites in Champaign, Ill., Provo, Utah and Stanford, Calif.
With three wins last weekend, Travis Hudson and company have posted their fourth-straight 30-win campaign now owning a 30-3 mark on the season. The Red and White finished with the most wins at home since 2012 as well, going 15-0 inside Diddle Arena. The unblemished mark is the fifth time in WKU Volleyball history that a team has finished undefeated at home for an entire season. Additionally, WKU has now won the last two conference tournaments it has hosted.
WKU Volleyball has now advanced to the NCAA Tournament seven of the past eight seasons. In total, Hudson has led the program to 11 appearances in The Dance, nine by automatic bids.
First and second round play of the 2017 NCAA Tournament will take place either Thursday and Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, or Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2. In total, 16 non-predetermined campuses will host the opening rounds of The Dance before the field narrows to just four hosts the following week. The NCAA Semifinals and Finals will take place in Kansas City, Mo., on Thursday, Dec. 15, and Saturday, Dec. 17.
