BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Pancake Thomas led the Hilltoppers with 14 points in what was a 72-54 loss at the UAB on Thursday night.
William Lee and Tosin Mehinti combined for 36 points to lead UAB.
Lee, who has scored at least 19 points in three straight games, was 7 of 8 from the floor for 19 with seven rebounds and three assists. Mehinti made 7 of 9 field goal attempts for 17 points.
The Blazers (10-7, 3-1 Conference USA) have won three straight after falling to Middle Tennessee 60-49.
UAB rolled to a 30-20 halftime advantage, pushed that to 61-35 lead midway through the second half, and coasted to the victory.
UAB hit 29 of 57 (51 percent) from the floor while limiting the Hilltoppers to 19-of-54 (35 percent shooting).
Western Kentucky (9-9, 3-2), which has lost two straight, had its five-game win streak snapped on Saturday, losing to Old Dominion 79-67.
