BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The WKU Hilltoppers closed out a week of preparation on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s “Live United White Out” game, set for a 6 p.m. kick off vs. Southland Conference foe Houston Baptist from Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
The Hilltoppers and Huskies kick off at 6 p.m. CT in a game set to stream live on WKUSports.tv with a simulcast from the Voice of the Hilltoppers, Randy Lee, and former WKU quarterback Leo Peckenpaugh calling the action. Subscriptions to WKUSports.tv, part of CBS’s College Sports Live platform, begin at just $9.95/month or can be purchased annually for $99.95.
It has been a good week of preparation for the Hilltoppers, according to Brohm, as the Red and White seek to get back into the win column before conference play resumes next week.
“I think we’ve had a good week of practice and our guys understand what we need to do to improve,” Brohm said. “That’s really what it’s about. Taking care of our business, learning from our mistakes, and trying to press forward. I think up to this point, we’ve done a good job, but now we have to go out on the field and display that.”
With WKU set to jump back into league play next week at Louisiana Tech, on a short week at that, Brohm was cautious of the team’s potential to look ahead to that contest.
“I think we understand that every game is important, and it doesn’t matter who you play. You’ve got to come ready to go,” Brohm added. “I want to see our team play well. I want to see them execute. I want to see them come out flying out. There’s only one game on the schedule.”
