BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After a day away from the practice field, WKU returned to the turf of Feix Field on a perfect Wednesday morning in the Bluegrass for a two-hour session in full pads.
The Hilltoppers continued to work on all areas of their game but have given particular emphasis to finding a solid rotation on the offensive front with the graduation of bowl game starters Derrick Stark and Cameron Clemmons.
One of the most veteran members of the coaching staff, offensive line coach Neil Callaway, said following the practice that WKU will settle on a starting five soon but will aim to build depth to rotate as many as 10 players if they are capable. The Hilltoppers started just two combinations up front last season but rotated numerous players at right guard and tackle throughout the season.
Freshman Hilltoppers Parker Howell, Hunter Holland, Tyler Camp, R.J. Scaife and Cullen Reynolds have all gotten numerous reps in fall camp as well, adding to an offensive line unit that returned seven lettermen and three redshirts for the 2015 season.
WKU will scrimmage on Saturday and host their annual Fan Fest, set for 2 p.m., inside E.A. Diddle Arena this year. Admission and parking are free all day on campus.
