CINCINNATI (AP) - The Hilltoppers are having one of their best offensive seasons in years, averaging 82.1 points and shooting 42.2 percent from beyond the arc. They struggled against Xavier's man-to-man defense, shooting only 34 percent from the field while falling behind by as many as 16 points in the first half.
WKU's 64 points were a season low.
Bluiett scored 13 points and Farr had 12 - three shy of the forward's career high - as Xavier dominated inside during the opening half. Bluiett had a long 3-pointer and a pair of free throws during a 12-point spurt that pushed the lead to 27 in the second half.
The Musketeers clamped down on guard Aaron Crosby, who went 8 of 11 from beyond the 3-point arc in an 86-84 win over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday. Crosby missed four of his first five attempts from beyond the arc and finished with 10 points.
