Player Notes
- Brandon Doughty moved into the Top 25 in FBS history in career passing touchdowns with 97 and Top 40 in career passing yards with 11,383. He finished the game with 273 passing yards on 24-of-29 passing and added four touchdowns.

- Doughty has thrown a touchdown pass in 24 straight games, which is the longest active streak in the FBS as Trevone Boykin (23) of TCU plays later.
- In the first half this season, Doughty is now 178-of-252 (70.6) for 2,522 yards, 26 touchdowns and three INTs.
- Doughty also caught the first touchdown of his career on a double-reverse pass from Nacarius Fant. This was Fant's second touchdown pass of the season.
- Taywan Taylor caught his 12th and 13th touchdowns of the season, setting the WKU single-season record for touchdown receptions in a season. He also became just the second player in WKU history to have 1,000 receiving yards in a season, pushing his tally to 1,044.

- Taylor finished the game with 87 yards on five catches.
- With his touchdowns, Taylor now has 20 career receiving scores, moving into fourth all-time in school history in career touchdown receptions.
- He pushed his season tally to 65 receptions, tying Alan Mullins (1985) for the fourth-most in a single season. He is just five receptions shy of setting the record.
- Anthony Wales ran for 135 yards on 17 carries, which was his fourth-consecutive 100-yard rushing game against C-USA opponents.

- Tim Gorski caught the third touchdown of his career in the third quarter, which was his first from Brandon Doughty. His last touchdown came from Nelson Fishback in 2013, and his other was from Kawaun Jakes in 2012.
