EL PASO, Texas -- No. 22 WKU volleyball returned to its winning ways Sunday afternoon as the Lady Toppers recorded their 15th sweep on the year with a straight-set victory at UTEP (27-25, 25-18, 25-15).
WKU was led by senior Haley Bodway who recorded a match-high 12 kills off a .556 hitting percentage. As a team, WKU hit .376, led by freshmen Rachel Anderson who notched a career-high, .667 hitting clip after laying down 8 kills on 12 attacks. Noelle Langenkamp, Sydney Engle and Alyssa Cavanaugh each added nine kills each for the Lady Toppers.
Defensively, WKU held UTEP to .116 hitting led by junior Georgia O'Connell's 12-dig effort. Setter Jessica Lucas recorded a near-double-double of 44 assists and eight digs to go along with three kills.
WKU (24-3, 11-1 C-USA) returns to action Friday afternoon as the Lady Toppers travel to FlU for a contest with the Panthers set for noon CT.
