- WKU falls to 6-2, while LSU improves to 7-0. The Tigers have won the only two games in the series, with the last match up played in 2011.

- The 101,561 in attendance is the second-most to ever watch the Hilltoppers play, just 260 people shy of the most ever (2012 at No. 1 Alabama).
- The 428 total yards on offense by WKU were the most given up by LSU at home this season and most since the Mississippi State game (Sept. 20) last season.

- With his 325 passing yards, Doughty became just the third quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards on LSU in Tigers last 33 games, joining Mississippi State's Dak Prescott and Ole Miss' Bo Wallace. He has thrown for at least 300 yards in 17 of his last 21 games.

- Doughty has thrown a touchdown pass in 22 straight games, which ties TCU's Trevone Boykin with longest active streak in FBS.

- Returner Kylen Towner moved into sixth at WKU in career kick returns with 46.
