BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - After a grueling week of practices, including a pair of two-a-days already, the WKU football team closed out Friday with their third double practice session inside Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
A hard morning of practice yielded way to another mentally exhausting second practice in the evening where the Hilltoppers worked extensively on special teams and unique situations. It was also their final open practice of the fall camp.
WKU will go through a closed scrimmage on Saturday ahead of the annual Fan Fest celebration, set for 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Knicely Convention Center in Bowling Green. The entire team as well as head coach Jeff Brohm will be on-hand until 4 p.m. signing autographs and taking pictures will all fans.
Near the conclusion of the event, Brohm will do his part in the fight against ALS, accepting WKU head baseball coach Matt Myers' challenge in the ever popular `Chillin for Charity' campaign, meant to raise awareness of the disease better known as `Lou Gehrig's Disease.'
