WKU Athletics partnered with the American Cancer Society on Feb.1 for the Coaches vs. Cancer pink out game. WKU raised $550 for the American Cancer Society during the men's and women's basketball games and handed out 500 pink rally towels at each game. WKU also helped raise over $500 for the Kay Yow Cancer fund in the Lady Toppers' Play4Kay game against Texas State. In addition, the Lady Toppers held a silent auction in the Hall of Champions to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Signed items from head coach Michelle Clark-Heard, the 2013-14 Lady Toppers and WKU legend Crystal Kelly were among the items available for auction. The Lady Toppers wore pink uniforms in their contest in support of cancer awareness while the Hilltoppers sported pink shooting shirts during warm-ups and on the bench.
