BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - WKU's tennis teams will host their first home matches of the season Sunday when the Mastodons of IPFW come to Bowling Green. The home matches are sandwiched between two road trips to the state of Alabama.
On Saturday, both tennis teams head to Huntsville, Ala., to face Alabama A&M at 1 p.m. The Lady Toppers and Hilltoppers both walked away with wins from last year's meetings with the Bulldogs.
WKU returns to Bowling Green to face IPFW in its first home matches on Sunday. The tennis programs play their home matches on the courts at Bowling Green High School. Sunday's matches, which will be the first ever meetings between WKU and IPFW, will begin at noon.
The Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers go back down to Alabama on Monday to take on North Alabama in Florence at noon. Both teams had success against the Lions last year, winning all four meetings between the two programs.
The Lady Toppers currently sit at 3-3 on the year while the Hilltoppers are 2-3. Junior Emily Przystawski heads into the weekend with a three-match win streak in singles play. Senior J.T. Closi won his No. 1 singles match last weekend at Morehead State to improve to 3-2 on the season.
