BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- As they closed out the first week of spring practice, the WKU Hilltoppers went through a half-scrimmage on Saturday inside Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium on Feix Field.
Spring football on The Hill is brought to you by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety's: Don't Text and Drive Awareness Program. All practices are open to the public and will be capped off by the annual Red and White Spring Game, April 19 at 1 p.m.
For head coach Jeff Brohm, the scrimmage closed out a week of practice that has his coaching staff excited for the future and looking forward to the next three weeks with their team.
"Right now, our guys have a lot of energy and have displayed that desire to get out on the field," said Brohm. "We're trying to develop more depth at the receiver position, and defensively we lost some key guys but I think we understand the scheme very well."
The Hilltoppers will have the next three days off from practice before returning to the field on Tuesday, April 1, to start the second week of practices. . A complete schedule is available on the second page of the spring media guide as well as on WKUSports.com.
