On finally beating South Alabama...
"It's kind of like that saying `Get the monkey off of your back.' I'm just happy for the girls. They came out of the locker room ready to play. I'm very fortunate and blessed to be able to coach such a great group. I think that's the biggest thing to look at. To be able to finally to beat them; they've been a thorn in our side since I came here. That's one of the things we really tried to focus on. The first half, we only gave up a couple of threes, and that's what they really do. I was super proud of our girls. We shot the ball really well. That's a big thing our team has been focusing on. I'm happy that we were able to put it together."
On the ball movement resulting in 12 made threes...
"It was crucial. We had 21 assists to 11 turnovers. Any coach will tell you, that is an unbelievable number. The biggest thing I was excited about was that they were having fun. We just two back-to-back games together where they were able to come out on the floor and play hard with energy and have fun. Now, we still have to work on that coming out of the locker room thing in the second half. It's hard when you're up by 30 and you try to get them out of the locker room still motivated and pumped. I was proud of them. We went on that three or three and a half minute stretch, but we came back and guarded and made some more shots. That's what good teams and that's what I told them."
On Bianca McGee's game...
"I'm super happy for her because she's really been working in practice. Her shot hadn't been falling the way it normally had. She's been working. She's been in the gym extra shooting. She always says to me, `Coach, when it's time to fall, it will fall.' She never got down on herself. I'm proud of her, because this was a huge game for her to step up for us and be able to make those threes. She continued to have confidence that she knew eventually they were going to fall."
On if Bianca McGee started shooting quicker in today's game...
"If you're a shooter and the first one falls for you, you get in that rhythm. That's how Bianca (McGee) plays, too. She took great shots tonight. There was a couple that I thought were quick. She took great shots within our offense and everyone was looking for her. That's the great thing, that's how you get 21 assists. When someone is making shots, their teammate is looking for them trying to get them the ball."
On Kendall Noble's offensive and defensive play...
"They were telling me to get her out of the game, and I was wondering when was going to be the right time because she does so much for us on both ends. She's very smart and savvy. She knows the basketball game. She can pass it. She's really a unique player because she's very deceiving. She has great hands and she gets her hands on the ball a lot. I think she kind of lulls you to sleep and then she goes to get it. She's been huge for us and I'm happy for her because of the injuries that she has gone through. This team is growing up. To put these two games back-to-back, and to play as well as we did at home shows that they are growing up."
On being able to only play Chastity Gooch 51 total minutes in the past two games...
"We talked about that and it's huge. We don't play this week until the weekend. So, they'll get the chance to get some rest. She's been playing a ton of minutes for us, and she's going to continue to play a ton of minutes for us. I talked to them about it last game, that if we get the opportunity to jump on a team and get up that would be an opportunity to rest some more. I see her running harder and doing those types of things in the game and her teammates, too. I think that's one of the bigger things we did do, we got out and ran today. We got some good shots because of it. That's how we could open up things from the outside because our posts ran the floor, too."
