Team Records and Series Notes
- WKU won its third-straight game to improve to 6-5 overall and 3-4 in C-USA action. UTSA fell to 3-8, 2-5 in C-USA.
- With the win, WKU is now bowl eligible for the fourth-straight season - the longest active streak in Conference USA.
- The Hilltoppers are one of eight Group of Five programs to be bowl eligible in four-straight seasons as of Saturday.
- WKU has now won four-straight home games, the longest streak for the program since winning eight-straight home games from Sept. 11, 2004 to Oct. 15, 2005.
- The Hilltoppers' 45-7 win was its largest margin of victory in a conference game since defeating Indiana State 41-3 in 2006. It also represented the largest margin of victory in a conference game in the FBS era.
- The Hilltoppers finished their 2014 home slate with a 5-1 record, which is their best home record since going 5-0 in 2004.

- Senior quarterback Brandon Doughty connected on 26-of-35 passes for 346 yards and 5 touchdowns

- Doughty extended his single-season record for TD passes to 36 after tossing 5 versus UTSA. He's now tied for second in program history with 50 career TD passes and is two away from the all-time WKU record
- Doughty's 67-yard TD pass to Willie McNeal, 54-yard TD toss to Leon Allen and 47-yard scoring connection with Taywan Taylor upped his 40+ yard passing TD total to 12
- Doughty has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 11-straight games and multiple touchdown passes in 11 of his past 12 games
