Team Records and Series Notes
- WKU improves to 2-2 on the season while Morgan State is now 0-4.
- The game marked the first ever meeting between the schools.
- WKU improved to 5-0 all-time against teams from the MEAC.

- The attendance of 20,973 was the fourth highest in the Houchens Industires-L.T. Smith Stadium era. It marked the 12th time in school history that WKU has had 20,000 fans or more at an on-campus home game. - Student attendance was 6,691 for the first home contest of the 2013 season.
- WKU won the coin toss and elected to receive, as it has in every game this season.
- WKU's team captains were Andrew Jackson, Cam Thomas, Brandon Doughty and Jonathan Dowling.
- WKU's honorary game captain was Norm Johnson.
- WKU's 58 points scored were its most in the FBS era and the most since scoring 87 against West Virginia Tech on Sept. 8, 2007
- WKU's 588 yards were a season high and the third time the Hilltoppers have racked up 400 or more yards this season. - WKU has tallied at least 393 yards in every game this season.
- WKU's scoring streak stands at 15 games since being shutout against Alabama (35-0) on Sept. 8, 2012.
- WKU has scored on its opening drive in each game this season after Antonio Andrews took the opening offensive play of the game 65 yards for a touchdown.
- WKU has scored 20 points or more in eight straight games and in 13 of the last 14 games.
- Petrino's teams have forced a turnover in 13 consecutive games.
- WKU forced multiple turnovers in a game for the first time this season, intercepting two Morgan State passes

Player Notes
- Senior running back Antonio Andrews finished with 213 rushing yards on 17 carries and five rushing touchdowns. He finished the night with 291 all-purpose yards.
- Andrews set a WKU record with five rushing touchdowns in the game.
- No player in the nation had more than four rushing touchdowns in a single game this season entering this weekend's games.
- Andrews became the first WKU back to rush for four touchdowns in a single game since Nov. 20, 2004 when Brian Porter achieved the mark against Florida International.
- It was the first time in the FBS era that a WKU player had rushed for four touchdowns in a game and just the third time a player has run for three or more.
- Andrews had previously set a career best with his three rushing touchdowns against Sept. 15, 2012 against Kentucky.
- Andrews' 12.5 yards per carry set a new FBS era record, besting the 12.0 yards by Leon Allen against Southern Mississippi last season.
- Andrews became the first player in school history to run for four touchdowns in a half, besting the previous high of three.
- Andrews became the first Hilltopper to record four touchdowns of any type in a single game since Brian Porter had four against Florida International on Nov. 20, 2004.
- On the opening play of the game, Andrews posted a 65 yard run. It was the longest run of his career to date, besting his previous high of 47 yards.
- It was the longest run for a WKU player since Oct. 31, 2009 when Marell Booker had a 61 yard rush at North Texas.
- Andrews recorded his 22nd career game with 100 or more all-purpose yards. He reached the mark on his first two touches of the game, compiling 103 yards on the run and punt return.
- Andrews recorded his fourth 200-yard rushing game of his career.
- Andrews has posted 100 or more rushing yards in 13 of his last 15 games.
- Andrews surpassed the 100 yard rushing mark early in the second quarter.
- Andrews has now caught a pass in 17 consecutive games.
- Junior defensive back Jonathan Dowling returned a blocked field goal attempt for a touchdown in the second quarter.
- It was the first time at blocked field goal has been returned for a touchdown by WKU in the FBS era.
- The return for touchdown marked Dowling's second career touchdown. He returned an interception for touchdown against North Texas on Nov. 24, 2012.
- It was WKU's first special teams touchdown since Antonio Andrews had a 70-yard punt return for touchdown in the season opener against Austin Peay in 2012.
- Senior defensive back Arius Wright recorded his third career interception in the fourth quarter and first since Nov. 17, 2012 against Louisiana-Lafayette.
- Junior wide receiver Willie McNeal caught a 56-yard pass in the first quarter, accounting for the longest pass reception by a WKU player this season and the longest reception of McNeal's career.
- Freshman defensive back Marucs Ward had his first career interception during the second quarter.
- Freshman quarterback Todd Porter made his WKU debut at quarterback, earning his first career start.
